Depth Of Field (DOF)
Depth of Field is where you can control how much of the area of a picture is in focus by adjusting the aperture Depth of field really gives creative control to your images, and is used quite allot with everyday photographers.
You would use depth of field differently depending on the nature of the image you are trying to capture.
Shallow depths of field are often used for things such as advertisement, where it is made to stand out to the audience so it grabs their attention.

and also this is one of her "noticeable photographs" there is also some others that are well known these are...
this photograph shows emotion as both the twins have different emotions as the one on the right is smiling, where the twin on the left is frowning, this is the main why this photograph is noticeable. also A print was sold at auction for $478,400 in 2004
Sally Mann
Sally Mann is also an American Photographer who also does black and white photography, then later on she started doing photography of landscapes
here are some examples of her work
here are some of my photo's I took, explaining what "way of seeing" is in three different aspects, these are as follows;
to do this, I took the picture in colour, then put it into Photoshop, and turned into black and white. and made so only the guitar was in colour, so this was the main subject of the image.
i also added effects to it to make it stand out more, theese were Gaussian blur, and then I used the pen tool to put the guitar in focus.
and for this image I lay down on the floor and took this at a strange angle, so only some of the strings were in focus, and the rest using a shallow depth of field, so it doesn't look like a normal picture of a guitar, this because the audience doesn't know where the rest of the strings from the neck are going, so it is quite mysterious to the audience viewing this photograph.
and for this image I did a similar technique how I shot my second photo, by kneeling of the floor, and getting the image of the grenade next to the guitar, and also it being refelcted onto the guitar, so this images shows love and war, war being the grenade, and love for being the guitar. and there was various techniques i used with this such as dimming the colour, so it'd look more effective.
